Over the years, Macquarie Care has connected and supported thousands of individuals, families and groups in our community. We love our community!  

Our key mission is empowering and connecting with our community through the extended hand of hope. 

We all need hope. Hope can sustain us through the hardest of trials. So, when people come to our door or we go to theirs, we look to bring an extended hand of hope.

Macquarie Care is the expression of the heart of Macquarie Life Church. That ‘church on the hill at Cardiff’. As an organisation that’s been running since 1998, we are OUTWARD focused, LOVING and SERVING people from all walks of life.

We connect with and look to empower students in schools, people in prisons, nursing homes, hospitals, detention centres, the homeless and people struggling to make ends meet. 

Our incredible team of volunteers serve in our programs and services to meet and mobilise the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of people living in our region. 

Such programs and services include: 

• Car 2 Home Project - providing a safe space for the homeless to sleep in their cars 

• Manna House - weekly food hamper program 

• Community Playgroup - helping parents and children connect 

• Chaplains - ministering in schools, aged care facilities and hospitals 

• Mental Health Courses - assisting people wherever they’re at 

• Shine - helping students see their worth and value whilst disarming bullying 

• Seniors Café - a monthly get together for the seniors in our community 

• Red Frogs - supporting, serving and safeguarding young people 

• Bags of Dignity - providing a bag of clothes to discharged prisoners 

• Community events - Hunter Homeless Connect, Lake Mac Running Festival  

As you can see, we cover some ground! 

These key initiatives help us to impact lives beyond the walls of our church and stand as a beacon of hope in a world looking for answers.
