Macquarie School Chaplaincy Program

Macquarie Care have partnered with Macquarie Life Church as a funding recipient for the National School Chaplaincy Program since 2006.  We have over 20 chaplains in schools across the Hunter Region, and our team are ready to serve your school.

WHAT IS THE SCHOOL CHAPLAINCY PROGRAM?
Government Funding is available to all Australian Schools for the appointment of a chaplain to support the social, emotional, moral and  spiritual wellbeing of students.
WHAT IS A SCHOOL CHAPLAIN?
A Chaplain is a person who offers care and acceptance to students, staff and parents, regardless of race, gender,  cultural, or worldview.  They listen, support, work through life issues, and assist in times of crisis.
HOW WILL IT BENEFIT YOUR SCHOOL?
A school chaplain will work alongside and compliment your other support systems and programs within the school.  They are available to participate in school activities and can provide support to staff students and parents.

School chaplains can make a big difference to the welfare of the school community and we encourage all local schools to take part in the government program.

We source each chaplain in consultation with the school, and take care of all the employment responsibilities.  We also ensure their support, professional development and clinical supervision.

We have a high standard of qualification and training for our chaplains and mutually confirm each year through a workplace agreement that the school is happy to continue with the program.

If you would like more information contact or office using the form below.   We will help you apply for the program.  If you already have a chaplain in a school and would like to change to our organisation as a funding recipient, we would also be happy to help you.
